About the company -

FRICK INDIA LIMITED incorporated as a public limited company in 1962 in collaboration with Frick Company USA, one of the world’s most oldest, experienced and largest manufacturers of industrial refrigeration & air-conditioning equipment.

It offers a wide range of high speed reciprocating compressors as well as twin screw compressors with technology from City University London and Holroyd, UK for almost all industrial Refrigeration applications. These twin screw blocks are TUV certified with “EC Declaration of Incorporation †.

Besides compressors, Frick with it’s integrated production facility has a whole range of refrigeration equipment including product coolers, condensers, pressure vessels (ASME) and electrical & automation systems.

Its manufacturing facilities are located at Faridabad (Haryana), an industrial township in the periphery of the national capital & are spread over a 22 acre multi-block complex.

The Company has been providing refrigeration solution to almost all the vital industries, related to Food and Agriculture, Dairy Production, Meat, Fisheries and Livestock, Beverages and Breweries, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry etc

Frick also installs turnkey projects and uses their 50 years of experience in industrial refrigeration compressor manufacturing in good stead to give energy efficient and reliable refrigeration systems in India and 45 other countries across the world.

Financial Performance – 
In Q4FY17 the company’s revenue grew by 64% to Rs.100.5 Crs, EBITDA grew by 275% to Rs.7.7 Crs and PAT grew by 81% to Rs.3.35 Crs. EBITDA Margins expanded by 428 bps to 7.64%.
For the full year FY16-17 the company’s revenue grew by 25% to Rs.255 Crs, EBITDA grew by 53% to Rs.18.9 Crs and PAT grew by 4% to Rs.12.2 Crs. EBITDA Margins expanded by 138 bps to 7.4%.

The company has clocked an EPS of Rs.203 on a small equity capital of Rs.60 lakhs (FV Rs.10 each). 

The company has a very strong reserve base of Rs.121 Crs taking the Net worth to Rs. 121.68 Crs and a Book value of Rs. 2,028 per share.

The company has a tiny working capital borrowing of Rs.16 Crs and a huge cash balance of Rs.65 Crs (plus Non-current investments of Rs. 23.7 Crs) as on 31st March 2017 indicating a very healthy Balance Sheet.

The company is very generous and is regular in distributing dividend, rewarding its shareholders with a dividend of Rs.2.5 per share (25%) in FY16-17.

The company’s revenue has grown at a 10 Year CAGR of 18.5% from Rs.55 Crs in FY08 to Rs.255 Crs in FY17. The company’s PAT has grown at a 10 Year CAGR of 12.2% from Rs.4.3 Crs in FY08 to Rs.12.2 Crs in FY17. 

Business Performance and outlook –

In the current financial year, the profitability of the Company has been curtailed to some extent. However, the Company's management is continually concentrating on consolidation of various lines of business of the Company, to cut extra costs and boost profits.

The management is hopeful of growth in the refrigeration sector due to rising domestic and global food demand and prices.

Frick has been under the process for capacity expansion as well as for Modernization of facilities, therefore, over the period of time have acquired various advanced technological equipments. The most recent once was the acquisition of Plasma Cutting Machines.

Frick has been undertaking various initiatives on the Quality matters, in all aspects, viz. from the stage of procurement of raw-materials / inputs for the production process up to the stage of final installation at the Project Site of the Client and beyond commissioning as well, under the Annual Maintenance Contracts. The company has completed the ‘CE’ Certification work for 'Screw Compressor' for export to European Countries.
